A leading company is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in Functional Machine Safety. The company provides safety risk assessments and mitigation services for manufacturing organizations, with projects ranging from individual machines to entire facilities. Machine safety is a high priority for manufacturers, and the company is addressing the growing demand for functional safety solutions. Candidates should have substantial experience in automation controls, safety systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. We are looking for a capable, creative, and self-motivated professional who wants to expand their expertise in safety implementations as a key member of the safety team. Key Qualifications and Interests: • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of experience designing, programming, and commissioning PLC and VFD systems • 2+ years of experience implementing functional machine safety systems • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics • A desire to become a subject matter expert or team leader with increasing responsibilities Additional Experience or Skills Considered a Plus: • TUV certification in Functional Machine Safety • Experience with Ethernet/IP and other industrial networks • Maintenance experience with controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics The company offers competitive compensation based on skills and experience.
