Senior Mechanical Engineer (x3 Roles)

We are seeking a degreed mechanical engineer with at least 8 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial robot systems. Our company, an industrial automation systems integrator, provides turnkey automation solutions to manufacturing companies across multiple industries.

We specialize in robotic systems, programmable controllers, motion control, and information systems. Our expertise includes applications in machine tending, material handling, pick/pack/palletizing, material removal, and assembly. We have extensive experience integrating robots from leading vendors.

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our project team, which is responsible for designing, staging, programming, and commissioning turnkey robot cells and safety systems. The ideal candidate will be a creative and self-motivated professional eager to work on diverse applications and engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement the technical requirements for each project
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, the fabrication team, and customers in a professional manner
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to schedules and budgets
Generate detailed drawings and assembly plans for custom equipment
Review designs for approval to manufacture
Conduct site visits to customer facilities to validate project scope and address issues
Design robot cells, tooling, and custom equipment
Develop mechanisms involving pneumatic systems, bearings, and electric motors
Select robots and other components for the cell
Specify safety system components
Complete reach and cycle time analysis for robotic applications
Support fabrication and installation teams with troubleshooting and testing
Required Skills & Knowledge:

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Knowledge of ANSI/ASME drafting standards
Familiarity with fabrication and machining processes for custom components
Understanding of automated industrial processes
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced field
Travel: Estimated at 5%–15%.

Salary: 100K-130K
