We are seeking a Project Engineer with expertise in functional machine safety to join our team. Machine safety is a key priority for manufacturers, and we provide solutions to meet the growing demand for functional safety systems. We are looking for a creative, capable, and proactive professional who wants to develop expertise in safety implementations as an integral member of our safety team.

Education and Experience:

BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
4+ years of experience in designing, programming, and commissioning PLC and VFD systems
2+ years of experience in implementing functional machine safety systems
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customers to assess hazards in new or existing equipment
Understand operational and maintenance interactions with equipment
Complete risk assessments, ranging from single machines to entire facilities, based on equipment hazards
Provide solutions that reduce risks while minimizing operational and maintenance disruptions
Lead project teams in creating required documentation, work packages, schedules, and installations
Become a subject matter expert in safety systems
Required Skills & Knowledge:

Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

TUV certification in Functional Machine Safety
Experience with Ethernet/IP and other industrial networks
Maintenance experience related to controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and safety systems
Travel: Estimated at 20–30%.

Salary: 100K-130K
