POSITION TITLE: Senior Project Manager
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
My client is a global systems integration firm providing professional services and control
system solutions to clients across multiple industrial sectors.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
My client is expanding its project team and seeking an experienced Senior Project
Manager. This role involves leading major projects for a diverse client base across
various industrial markets. The selected individual will oversee projects for end users,
EPC firms, and OEMs. This is a key opportunity to join a strong project team delivering
high-quality automation solutions across the industry.
Key Responsibilities / Expectations:
• Manage all phases of projects from Front-End Engineering & Design through detailed
design, commissioning, and start-up.
• Manage projects to increase contract value and maintain profit margin expectations,
including:
– Controlling scope and generating change orders where necessary.
– Communicating scope, schedule, and budget requirements to the project team.
– Ensuring all assigned tasks are executed on time.
– Developing project schedules and reports.
• Develop and manage resource allocation tools to ensure effective utilization of project
resources.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Execute control, safety, and information system solutions for industrial process
projects.
• Manage senior automation engineers, designers, panel integration teams,
commissioning personnel, and fabrication resources.
• Support proposal development by reviewing RFQ specifications and providing
comments.
• Provide direction and training to junior project management and engineering staff.
• Maintain and improve client relationships.
• Support corporate health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
• Provide strong practical client service with a commitment to technical excellence.
• Collaborate with other offices and teams on cross-location projects.
Essential Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera, and SAP (preferred)
• PMP certification
• 10+ years of project management experience delivering control system or automation
projects within industrial sectors such as:
– Oil & Gas
– Petrochemical
– Refining
– LNG
– Power
• Familiarity with major OEM control platforms including:
– Rockwell (PlantPAx, FactoryTalk, Logix)
– Wonderware / Aveva System Platform & InTouch
– DeltaV
– Triconex
• Demonstrated ability to increase project revenue through strong project management
and client relationships
• Effective communication skills
